About the program
Build a Better Business is a blended online course and coaching program. Participants watch short introductory videos at the start of each session and later are given workbook materials to develop their thinking and ideas. When ready, they schedule a call with their coach who facilitates a 30-minute phone/video call to review their work and further refine their strategy and action items.
Participants generally do one session a week but the program is self-paced and can be completed in as little or as long as the situation requires. In addition, every participant is given one “bonus” session to use how and when they need—either during or after the program. This can be used to go deeper into a topic, deal with a challenge, or review the application of specific strategies after the program.

Pre-Program Assessment: Our pre-program assessment will help determine the areas where you need the greatest improvement. You'll talk with your coach to review and develop your key goals and desired outcomes of the program and a plan for how to best use the content and coaching time.
Module 1: Your core purpose - Discover—or rediscover—why you do what you do and why it is important to you, your people, and your customers.
Module 2: Your core people - Finding, attracting, and keeping the right talent is critical for growth. Learn how to use your core purpose and values to ask the right questions and hire the right people.
Module 3: Your core customer - Just like your core people, having the right customers can make all of the difference. Figure out which customers you need more of, and which you should ditch.
Module 4: Your core product - A broad product or service line can seem like a good idea when you’re trying to build a customer base, but I assure you, it’s not. Focusing on only a few products that really solve problems for your core customer is, on the other hand, critical for the scaling of your business.
Module 5: Your core channel - Not all business should use the same sales channel. Depending on your strengths, assets, customers, and products, select a channel that will be most likely to generate results for you. Then optimize and scale.
Module 6: Your core pipeline - Your pipeline is your customer development process. It defines the journey your customers will go on as they move from a prospect to a lead to a client, and eventually to a referral source. Planning, mapping, and then building these systems will ensure sustainable growth.
